The Designer of Distinction Award recognizes an ASID professional member who exemplifies a commitment to the profession as demonstrated by a significant, high-quality body of work representing excellence in interior design. The award also celebrates the ASID member’s attention to social concerns within the interior design profession and to the member’s expression of creative, innovative concepts that have advanced the profession.
This is the premier award for personal achievement and social consciousness in the interior design field.
Nominees must be ASID professional members in good standing who have practiced interior design for at least 10 years. National officers, board members, jurors and awards committee members are ineligible during their terms of office.
Each year, the Society president appoints an Awards Committee of ASID professional members, fellows and members of the design community. This committee reviews nominees and selects an honoree. View bios of our 2014 awards judges.
The honoree will receive an engraved crystal award at Celebration, the Society's annual gala to be held on June 21, 2014, in Los Angeles.
