About
Adelene Keeler Smith holds a five year BS degree in Interior Design from the FIU School of Architecture in Miami, Florida. She graduated with honors. Addie began her design career under the tutelage of several prestigious architectural and interior design firms to include Dennis Jenkins & Associates, Coconut Grove and Creative Environs of Lynn Wilson, Coral Gables, Florida. Expertise and experience was quickly acquired in high caliber corporate and residential interiors within these exciting and premiere city design firms. Adelene has been in private practice for over eighteen years and serves clients in multiple regions - locations to include New England, Mid-Atlantic, and South Florida. Addie values and enjoys variety in her work. She believes this keeps her fresh and relevant avoiding the formula or contrived interior. Her work truly reflects the character and uniqueness of each project commission and client served. Her repertoire is accomplished and established from timeless traditional, tasteful transitional, energetic eclectic to the concise contemporary environment. Trustworthy client referrals can be found on Houzz.com and Angieslist.com. Adelene spent her formative years living in extraordinary places such as Palm Beach, Florida; Oahu, Hawaii; Newport, Rhode Island; Central Pennsylvania; Northern Virginia and Washington, DC. Her keen insight into and appreciation for fine architecture and exquisite interior design has derived from this wealth of travel, as well as immediate family members engaging the services of qualified talented builders, engineers, architects, interior designers/decorators, and the landscape designer for their businesses, residences, and vacation retreats. Addie is the recipient of Twelve ASID Awards for Excellence and Four platinum awards for Dwellings of Distinction. She is an associate member of American Institute of Architects (AIA), monthly magazine columnist of "The Department of the Interior", author of Sophie Gets Curtains - And has been featured on PBS and several national HGTV television episodes.
