ASID Showcase Master Suite 2010
Inspired by the Blue Zone of Okinawa, Japan — where people live long, contented lives — the designer specified and designed all the interior furnishings, colors (ivory, beige and navy), product materials and lighting of this restful, west-facing salon. • Custom faux finishes designed by the interior designer and decorative artisan accent the walls and ceiling; the ceiling mirrors the lake with undertones of pearl and blue. • Conrad designer window shades provide privacy in the sleeping areas. • Millwork for windows and doors was reproduced to match the original design of the house and to preserve the original age and character of the home. / ASID Showcase Master Suite 2010
ASID Showcase Master Balcony 2010
The whisper of the wind and romance of a nearby lake combine with Asian serenity in this peaceful master retreat. The original 1920s lake-facing home with no view and three small bedrooms had lots of potential. The new architect-designed floor plan transformed the two front bedrooms into an elegant owner’s salon with spacious bedroom, luxurious bath with shower and spectacular balcony with a tree house view of the lake. / ASID Showcase Master Balcony 2010
ASID Showcase Master Bath 2010
• The master bath reflects Japanese solitude with understated colors of indigo, black and tan accented with Kalista polished nickel fixtures. • Tile flooring is patterned after a shoji screen with natural countertops and shower walls. The walk-in shower has a deep indigo floor accented with ribbons of blue glass reminiscent of a precipice with reflections of water below. • Large closet features rift-cut red oak custom cabinets with a silky faux finish. / ASID Showcase Master Bath 2010
Southwest Home Wine Cellar
Wine Cellar conversion of a walk-in closet. The homeowners love to travel, entertain and purchase select wines from vineyards across the country. Features mahogany stained wood with mosaic accent tile in undertones of gold and brown. Walk-in wine cellar offers the perfect solution for this family and is a great view from the upper level with a custom arched glass door. / Southwest Home Wine Cellar
