About

I hold a degree in the Applied Science of Interior Design granted from Chamberlayne College of Boston, now part of Mt. Ida College, Newton, MA. I am an artist member of the prestigious Copley Society and of the American Association of Professional Artists. I have served on the faculty of the Rhode Island School of Design and of the Fuller Museum of Art. I currently teach decorative arts at a facility north of Boston. I am a Hunter Douglas window fashions dealer and provide soft and hard window treatments throughout New England. I attend frequent workshops and partake of online training to assure that my knowledge is up to date.

Besides holding a degree in the Applied Science of Interior Design, I have specific training and study in the field of fine art. I've been a representational painter for 25+ years and am completely conversant in color theory. An avid seamstress, I understand fabric and it's potential. In short, I have a comprehensive knowledge of theory, application and materials; an artist's aesthetic and a solid background of design history.

Fee Structures

For services such as paint/color consulation, my fee is $125.00/hr. In 90 minutes time, I can complete a color scheme for a typical home. For window coverings, there is never a charge for my visit. My shop-at-home service brings all of the materials and samples necessary to make a perfect decision on-site. My comprehensive selection of goods and materials knowledge will make it easy to find great design solutions. I am based Boston Metro-West but will travel.
