About

As a native of Orange County, Cari has always been very aware of style and trends in design and had a strong desire to create beauty through color, scale and balance. Her design pallet was wet when she was fascinated by a professional designer's magic in the design of her Parents' Palm Desert condo when she was at the age of 13. Colorado State University was her chosen destination to pursue her B.S. in Interior Design, as it was one of the few FIDER accredited programs in the U.S. and at the same time could offer an authentic 'small town' college experience. Upon graduation Cari returned to 'the OC' and after a brief journey through healthcare design, found her niche with the largest and most widely respected model home design firm, Creative Design Consultants. After 8 years in the model industry, Cari decided to expand her portfolio and pursue the avenue of residential interiors. She quickly found great gratification in the emotional enthusiasm that an individual client had to the creation of beauty in their home. With solid experience in the corporate forum as well as the private - Cari enjoys great satisfaction in the ownership of her own design business and her work in both commercial and residential interiors.

The joy of knowing that I was able to interpret and implement their personal vision for their space successfully is what makes my passion for interior design thrive. My philosophy in both design and business is admittedly rather anti-climatic, but I have found it to be tried and true and credit my steady client base to it's formula - Listen, listen and listen again. Although a client may not always know how to articulate their style or desires for their design - I have found that the more time you allow for them to express and share parts of themselves, their lifestyle or the functions of the space - the smoother the design process becomes and the more personal the aesthetic result of the design is.

Fee Structures

Design services are generally billed on an hourly rate, although each project scope is taken into consideration for alternate billing structures when applicable. There is no hourly fee for the initial consultation. A Design Fee Agreement will be prepared for all active projects. The Agreement breaks down the specific details of the fee structure as well as the individual scope of the project.
