Kitchen Remodel, Before and After
Location
The10 year old kitchen cabinets were literally falling apart, pushing the low budget remodeling to start. Cabinets were replaced with those covered in white thermafoil, to resemble high gloss lacquer, at a much cheaper price and a more practical finish. The room is tiny and the clean lines of the cabinets, with minimal hardware, helped to create the feel of a larger space. The wall next to the refrigerator was removed so that the new, counter depth refrigerator gave us 6" more walk way depth. The photo with the round pulls show the new refrigerator on the right with a new pantry cabinet on the left. Matching left and right pulls gave the impression of one cabinet. The cabinets between the kitchen and dining room were made taller to accomodate drawers for table linens. The tall cabinet on this divider section houses china and other serving dishes.
