Loft Kitchen Remodel
Location
The original cabinets were made of masonite and the doors were installed backward. The only light fixture was a bare bulb flourescent mounted in the middle of the ceiling. Consequently the work space was dark. There was no place for guests to sit. The cabinets were upraded in quality and composed of maple fronts. The stair step design of the ribbed glass door inserts mimick the stairs on the opposite wall. The cabinet interiors are black and the dishes stored there are black so that we only see the door and not what is inside. Undercabinet lighting was installed for task work at the counter. The recessed niches on the side walls hold uplights. The island was enlarged to accomodate counter stools.
The before shot is shown in the 2nd photo.
