The space was large and open, literally a 2-car garage. 3 zones were created: main kitchen, butler’s pantry & bar and home office. A lawn equipment storage room converted nicely into the home office area. That left the main garage space to become the kitchen, butler’s pantry and mud room. Materials and finishes were mixed to achieve a space where both husband and wife are comfortable. The custom hood, made from a 100 year old reclaimed beam, along with stone, glass and other material choices give a balance of rustic texture with sleek, clean lines. The Rainforest granite on the island was a great finishing touch for this unique kitchen.
