National Board Nomination Form
The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) invites you to nominate yourself and/or other members for the Society’s 2016 National Board of Directors.
Being elected to the national board is a distinct honor, and serving the membership is a rewarding experience. Board members help direct the future of ASID and, by extension, the design profession. They are the Society's most visible advocates for the value of design and its ambassadors at ASID programs, industry events, national conferences, and in the media.
As in years past, our goal is to create a diverse board that represents every aspect of the interior design profession. We’re seeking creative, enthusiastic and committed members — those eager to offer their support and strategic guidance. Maybe you know such a member or perhaps that member is you.
Nominate yourself or an eligible ASID member for any of the following six open positions:
- Four directors-at-large whose two-year terms begin Oct. 1, 2015 (three professional members and one allied member).
- One Industry Partner representative whose two-year term begins Oct. 1, 2015.
- The chair-elect will serve three years, also beginning on Oct. 1, 2015.
Before making your nominations, please review the Board of Directors job descriptions, eligibility requirements and nomination procedures. All allied or professional members who have passed the NCIDQ examination and who have been a chapter president; or those who have served on a Society committee, council or task force; or members who have documented and/or demonstrated leadership within the profession are eligible for nomination. Nominees for the chair-elect position must have successfully completed the NCIDQ examination or other examination specified in the national bylaws and must have served as an at-large member on the national board for at least one full two-year term.
All nominations for the 2016 ASID Board of Directors must be submitted by Oct. 31, 2014.
