Selected Textile Art
Location
Quilting is an ancient craft. What interests me is translating that craft into a fiber art painting. Inspiration comes from the colors and textures of the fabric, and my subject matter. I often work from pictures I have taken of cityscapes, landscapes, or an unusual flower. Sometimes it is a picture of a place I've never been- or one I'd like to revisit. A beautiful piece of hand-dyed fabric can also inspire an abstract piece.
My style favors heightened colors and heavy organic quilting in a semi-abstract manner, where sensuous shapes and curved lines pre-dominate. I use fabric in painterly ways, while sculpting and shaping the fabric with stitching. My desire is that people will enjoy entering the world I have created, and lose themselves in successive layers of detailed texture and color.

How can I serve you and your clients?
I have posted a selection of work in situ and available work. There is lots more at my website. I would love to build relationships with your clients to create one of a kind commissions for their specific colors and styles. I am easy to work with, and enjoy creating a special piece for your client. Please contact me to let me know of your specific needs and challenges, and to see if what I offer would be a good fit for your business (919-602-2260).
My main goal is to provide a piece of textile art that is drop dead gorgeous, and stops people in their tracks. I use only the yummiest colors, fabrics and materials to create a piece of luxury and beauty that will be the envy of all your clients' friends. I think my work appeals to the collector who admires fine craftsmanship, and wants something truly unusual and exclusive.
