REGREEN: The Nation’s First Green Residential Remodeling Guidelines

ASID and USGBC have released the nation's first sustainable residential remodeling guidelines at INTERIORS 08. The REGREEN program is a series of guidelines that include best practices, learning programs and valuable print and electronic resources for those looking to green up an existing home whether it’s room by room, or an entire house.

“These guidelines are a first for the industry and it couldn’t have happened without the partnership between ASID and USGBC,” says ASID Executive Director Michael Alin, Hon. FASID. “REGREEN is not just a set of guidelines, it’s much more than that. We are developing curriculum for learning programs and designing a comprehensive and user friendly consumer and professional website to assist in green residential remodeling.”

Details of the program were announced at a press conference at INTERIORS 08 and copies of the final guidelines were distributed.
