About
As a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology in 1986 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree I was already working in the industry. I began my New York experience while still in college working for a kitchen and bath design company as a draftsperson. Upon graduating I moved on to work for an architect designing retail stores for Laura Ashley and The Forgotten Woman. Six years followed working for Mancini-Duffy on large scale office space planning and design projects. My New Jersey experience includes 6 years as a senior designer and space planner with BFI a contract furniture dealership in Parsippany. I have spent the most recent years consulting for individual clients such as L-3 communications and The Sudler Companies. My most recent project is an 18,000 sq. ft. relocation for The Sudler Companies in Chatham, NJ. The project was completed in December 2008 and is a showcase of my design abilities as well as a tribute to the client's 100 years of business.
Services Offered
LMD Interiors is a small-scale design firm offering space planning, interior design and project management. As principal designer I prefer to apply individual attention to each project tailoring the services and scope to the client's needs. While my focus is on corporate office design, I also provide residential, kitchen/bath and specialty design services as well. My approach to any interior design project is to get to know the client or user's needs and expectations. The program is developed from the initial interview. From that point I will meet with the client or users at key intervals in the development process in order to present the design concepts and redirect my work if necessary. This process provides for an end result, which matches the client's vision and ultimately my own as well.

Fee Structures
My fee structure varies depending on the individual situation. I prefer to meet with the client at the site to discuss the scope of work before developing a proposal. My proposal will be based on an estimated amount of time for specific phases of the job. This can be tailored as needed. If the project parameters change then an hourly fee structure can be utilized. Initial consultation is necessary to determine the fee and would not typically be billed. Although a consultation including on site design services such as field measuring, sketching and color selection would be billed hourly. My fee is not related to the sale of any products.
