About

Doug Bailey is a degreed and licensed Interior Designer and a member of ASID with a BFA in Interior Design from the Memphis College of Art. His home was recently featured on the front cover of Frederick Magazine. He is a former Commissioner of the Arts for Washington, DC, where he recieved a Proclamation from the Office of the Mayor declaring "Doug Bailey Day" in the city of Washington. He was also featured on the front of the Style section in the Washington Post for producing The Mayors' Arts Awards.

Services Offered

I have 35 years experience with my design firm DAB Interiors covering the Washington, DC metropolitan area. My work is divided between residential (70%) and commericial (30%) design. I work in transitional, traditional and contemporary styles and feel comfortable working in all three styles and their off-shoots. I am known for my color expertise as well as my space planning. My residential clients prefer my honest approach to "their home" and my commercial clients approve of the clean, professional projects that they enjoy working in. I have now designed a dozen landscape and terrace projects to add to my ever expanding portfolio. I travel out of area to design projects including Bermuda.

Fee Structures

We offer initial design consultation billed at an hourly rate. This is followed by a contract with a professional design fee separate from design purchases which are billed to the client at Designers' net cost.
