Fee Structures
We have two ways of working with our clients when it comes to fee structure: 1) an hourly fee of $105.00 or 2) a lump sum fee. In both cases we ask for a retainer before we begin design work. The amount of the retainer depends on the size of the fee. Our minimum project fee is $3,000.00. The client is not charged for the initial meeting where we discuss the scope of services for the project and the appropriate fee structure. Following the initial meeting, we submit a contract proposal that our clients sign and return to us with a retainer before any design work is started. The proposal describes the project in detail; lists the scope of services; and sets forth the fee structure and reimbursable expenses. We invoice our clients monthly for hourly work and by phase for lump sum fee. Payment is due in 15 days. www.colbydesignltd.com
