About
I bring to the table over 15 years experience in the interior design, decorating and residential remodeling fields. I am certified by the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ). I am a graduate of the New York School of Interior Design (with highest honors) as well as Barnard College, Columbia University. My clients benefit from a rich and eclectic background in the creative and performing arts, various areas of business and high-end construction. After numerous years working at the highest-end of the design/build and decorating arenas in New York City and the surrounding areas, I started my own interior design business in 2005. Jacqueline Hosford Interior Design, LLC brings clients interior design services customized and personalized to their particular project needs. Whether an hour or two of consulting, or a full fledged gut renovation and interior design and decorating project, Jacqueline Hosford Interior Design, LLC can provide the professional services needed. I am an active member in the NY-Metro Chapter of ASID and am currently the Chapter President for the 2012-2013 year.

Fee Structures
My initial meeting with a client is free of charge. Based upon that meeting, I will develop a customized proposal detailing services and fees. When a proposal is accepted, a retainer fee is required and then project work is begun. I work with fee structures commonly used in the interior design field. Depending on the nature of your particular project, a project fee structure will be one or a combination of fixed fees, hourly fees, or cost plus percentage. Whichever fee arrangement, it will be clearly discussed and stated in writing as part of the proposal.

Kitchen & Dining Area - Remodel
This was a complete kitchen & dining room renovation. The design enhances separation between kitchen and dining that was missing from the existing do-it-yourself layout. The style is casual-elegant to suit the Clients' taste, and very suitable for the informal layout of this 1930's bungalow. / Kitchen & Dining Area - Remodel
Dining Area
View of dining area from open kitchen. The client's prize fish was central to the decor. The curtained wall masks ungainly windows while allowing ample sunlight and imparting an elegance to the space. / Dining Area
Custom Kitchen, NYC
Carefully planned and designed, the cabinetry uses every square inch of space and features clever interior organization. Even the extra-high toe-kick space was used for shallow drawer storage. / Custom Kitchen, NYC
Open Living Space, NYC
Partitions removed and the client's love of color, sun, tropical atmosphere, sea-side and fish roundly embraced, the resulting space invites comfortable entertaining and daily living. / Open Living Space, NYC

A modern decorating touch with the client's existing furnishings updated a tired look, but does not tell of the dramatic space transformation. Unusual re-partitioning created a diagonal entry, gained ample space for a new walk-in closet, provided for an open kitchen and, allowed for elegantly improved space use in the adjacent bedrooms. / panorama of open plan living space, NYC
