About
I am a Certified Interior Designer (CID) in California which denotes that I have passed the California codes (CCRE) and the national licensing exams. I have a BFA in interior design (graduated #1 in my class) from the International Academy of Design in Chicago and a BA in English from the University of Illinois. I have been practicing residential design since 1991 with my own firm and also teach interior design part time at UC - Berkeley and the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
Services Offered
Full service residential interior design ranging from kitchen, bath, or whole house remodels to single consultations. Designing color palettes, lighting plans, custom cabinetry and window treatments are other areas of specialty. Go to www.JayneBunceDesign.com for details.

Fee Structures
I charge an hourly rate for consultations and design services, with a 2 hour minimum for a single consultation. On larger projects I will establish a fixed fee which varies based on the scope of the work. Should you choose to buy products through my business, I charge my cost plus a small markup. I am happy to work in all budget ranges.

Warm contemporary
Warmth and elegance were the clients' desires for this kitchen remodel of a private contemporary residence in suburban Chicago. Rich cherry wood tones compliment the yellows of the limestone flooring and marble back splash and the greens of the granite counter tops. Black accents in the tile, furniture and cabinetry add to the elegance of this contemporary space. / Warm contemporary
Contemporary Prairie bookcases
Contemporary Prairie style describes the living area of this townhouse residence, which features custom designed wall cabinets housing stereo equipment on one side and china and silver on the other. The clean styling enhances the unique grain of the anigre wood, allowing it to compliment the owner’s collection of antique African currency. Each shelf subtly curves outwards, mimicking the curves of the fascia boards above and creating a pleasant tension with the rectilinear shapes of the shelves. / Contemporary Prairie bookcases
Elegance and Grace
Re-arranging the layout of this kitchen by moving walls and doorways allowed for a more functional traffic flow for this busy family of four. Cream cabinetry, applied decorative moldings and soft green stone counter tops provide an elegant, welcome to this graceful Bay Area Kitchen. / Elegance and Grace
Rustic Remodel
The unique architecture of this round, rustic home in Sonoma, CA drove the design concept for this kidney shaped kitchen. Functionality was key as both of the owners are accomplished chefs and entertain frequently. Concrete flooring, knotty alder cabinetry in a Shaker style, gorgeous Crema Bordeaux granite on the peninsula, and textural tile contribute to this unique space. / Rustic Remodel
Ethnic powder room
Another most unusual room from the same round house project above features a powder room with rich textures of cast concrete, glass tile and hand forged copper piping. These textures combine with the earthy, moody color palette to create an ethnic, rustic theme while the layered cantilevered counter tops and suspended back-lit mirror add architectural interest to this extraordinary small space. / Ethnic powder room
