About

I am a graduate of the UCLA Interior Design Program and have been designing homes on the Westside since l981. Montana Ave. Interiors has proudly participated in 6 Design Houses, including Pasadena and Hancock Park. Our projects have been published extensively in many design periodicals, including The Robb Report, California Homes, Kid's Rooms, Beautiful Bedrooms and L.A. Home and Decor. Our projects have been published in several hardcover coffee table books and many paperback design books. Our projects have been covered in several TV shows including Beautiful Homes and Great Estates and Find! Our office is located on Montana Ave. in Santa Monica. Our clients include Shelly Long, Lily Tomlin, CEO of Lionsgate Films, President of MGM, CEO of Houston's Restaurants, VP of Herbalife as well as doctors and lawyers and successful professionals in our community.

Services Offered

Simplicity, straight forward, tailored design is our main criteria. Zen, Asian, contemporary, classic, comfortable and inviting are our styles. Art is essential. Design must work with the architecture of the home and must be compatible with desired outcome of the clients. Muted colors where necessary and bold exotic and exciting colors as backgrounds against neutrals and monochromatic furnishings. Accents of antiques co-exist with modern. Contrasts are a must so we don't get bored or ordinary. One must be comfortable in their home and yet every piece should tell a story. Every piece is a piece of art. The home must reflect the homeowner, the designer is the facilitator. The collaboration between the two is what makes the project a spectacular success. This is our goal.

Fee Structures

We charge an hourly fee or a fixed price depending on the size and scope of the project, plus a percentage of items purchased.We select and advise on all art purchases or will refer you to a qualified art consultant. We do not accept projects with less than a $50,000.00 budgets. We are happy to work with your architect or contractor if you have one, if not we work with many talented professionals, who we are happy to refer to you. We will work from the ground up or once the archticture is complete. We are here for you and all our contracts are tailored specifically to your budget and your project. There is no charge for the initial interview and portfolio review of one hour or less. If we have to travel, you will be charged for travel time.
