Jeff Sheats, Allied Member ASID has been designing from his studio in Indianapolis for 17 years. After studying advertising/graphic design and business administration at Indiana and DePaul Universities, he worked for his family business honing his creative marketing and administrative skills. During this time he also understudied with two designers and performed freelance interior décor services. Jeff went on to further his education in Interior Design from the School of Engineering and Technology, Purdue University. He completed his course requirements for an AS in Interior Design in June 2006 while running his busy interior design studio Jeff Sheats Designs, Inc. He performs creative work including conceptual design, specification of materials, space planning, client relationship management and administration. He has traveled and studied internationally and his projects have included coast-to-coast interior design commissions for entrepreneurs, doctors, lawyers, and other prominent clientele. Jeff is an active member of the Indiana Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and has chaired the state website committee. He has also received numerous awards including multiple presidential citations from ASID. Jeff has been published repeatedly in the Indianapolis Monthly, Indianapolis Woman and other magazines. Jeff is a regular contributing writer on design topics for the Indianapolis Business Journal. He is pursuing his goal of national interior design certification by 2009. Jeff believes the key to great interior design is finding the client's true inner desires for their rooms and translating it with a keen sense of space planning and material use, while providing superior customer service.
