About

I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interior Design with a Studio Arts Minor from The University of Minnesota where I graduated with honors. I was the president of Omicron Nu honor Society my senior year. I have been practicing Interior Design since the early 1980's. In 2001 I became "J. Stark Interiors". I have designed many award winning Model homes and was featured in "Minneapolis/ St. Paul Magazine" and published in the coffee table hardcover book: "Designed in Minnesota".

Services Offered

For more than 25 years I have dedicated myself to residential Interior Design. I started out in new home construction helping customers make selections for their new custom built homes. I designed many award winning model homes for the Parade of Homes since the late 80's. I also designed the K.S.T.P Design Home for three straight years (2006, 2007,and 2008). I am a full service Interior Designer selling furniture, art, accessories, etc. I also do custom drapery (my personal favorite!). I can handle large, whole house projects and am happy to do small projects as well. I am also available for hourly consulting.

Fee Structures

I charge a fee of $120.00/ hour for my services. This fee is for making selections such as paint, counter tops, tile designs,flooring, custom drapery designs, etc. For most projects I can estimate the time and help you determine a budget. I require a deposit of 50% down on Design time when the project begins with the balance due upon presentation of ideas. I also offer a discount on most furniture of 20%. When designing custom drapery, I offer 25% off Designer fabrics.
