About
My name is Kimberly Jo Ferrante. I am a professional member of ASID and principal designer for Cedar Key Interiors. I graduated from the prestigious Kendall College of Art and Design with a degree in Interior Design. I have passed the NCIDQ examination and am on the list of qualified designers for the state of Michigan. I have won numerous awards from ASID and the BIA for my work while practicing in the state of Hawaii. Shortly after my return to Michigan I began my own business, Cedar Key Interiors. In addition, I am an instructor at the International Academy of Design & Technology, supporting our next generation of designers.
Services Offered
At Cedar Key Interiors, your space is a reflection of your personal style. It shows the world who you truly are! Together, we will determine budget guidelines that will help establish the scheduling and planning of your project. The end result will be an inviting, functional environment that exceeds your expectations! As the award-winning, principle designer of CKI, I will help you successfully and beautifully combine the worlds of functional elegance with timeless design. I have successfully displayed my ability to merge the worlds of functional elegance with timeless design. My sense of style and attention to detail give me the ability to produce stunning spaces that excite the visual palette. Interlacing of high quality materials and luxurious textures stand as my trademark of distinction. Call today for your in-home introduction to the creative world of Interior Design with Cedar Key Interiors, your key to creative design!

Fee Structures
I work with two main fee structures and base my fees on variables such as complexity of the project and its geographical location. A designer will typically charge per design hour for work completed. In addition, a small mark-up of 30% is added to the already discounted items that are purchased. For smaller projects, some clients prefer a fixed fee with a flat rate. This is a reasonable option if the scope of work to be performed is very clear to both the client and to the designer. Our first meeting is generally focused on introducing ourselves and my services to you. It is more an interview process where I will listen to your desires and goals for the proposed space. This meeting is not intended to offer design expertise or recommendation. As such we do not generally charge for the initial meeting.
