Prior to the establishment of KBK Interior Design, Kingsley eleven years ago, Kingsley Belcher Knauss was the senior designer for Mary Douglas Drysdale of Drysdale Design Associates in Washington, D.C. with numerous residential and commercial project publications in House Beautiful, Traditional Home and Veranda magazine. Commercial experience was gained while working as the sole interior designer for Goody, Clancy and Associates and Ben Thompson Associates in Boston, Massachusetts. Responsibilities included: cabinet and millwork design, specifying, and scheduling, supervising purchasing and installations. Kingsley Belcher Knauss’ work has been showcased at the Mansions in May Showhouse in New Jersey. She holds degrees from the University of Vermont and the Boston Architectural Center. Kingsley is professional member of American Society of Interior Designers and holds her NCIDQ professional certification.
Services Offered
Kingsley Belcher Knauss, ASID has provided interior design solutions to residential and small scale commercial projects with over twenty years of experience. Her design philosophy stresses a close link between the disciplines of architecture and interior decoration. KBK has the expertise to create a wide variety of interior environments from traditional to contemporary. Her firm strives to develop interior environments with an underlying classicism that survives the passage of design trends. KBK Interior Design is committed to coordinating the design efforts with an organized and well managed project that meets client’s expectations and budget. In addition to the traditional interior design services, KBK has found her niche by providing additional services prior to renovation or construction like millwork and cabinet design, specification of plumbing, tile and lighting design. It is a daily routine to communicate and coordinate design efforts between client, architect and /or contractor. KBK is committed to creating interior environments that are responsive to the desires and priorities of the client. Location and range of services: A wide network of design resources, a bilingual staff and a satellite office in Florida provides ease in working on projects along the east coast to as far as California. Expertise in high end residential interiors includes such spaces as: gourmet kitchens, media/entertainment rooms, billiard rooms, libraries, pool rooms, home offices and luxury baths.
