About
LISA LUKAS Lisa Lukas received her B.F.A. in Interior Design from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. From 1980 – 2004 Lisa was the interior designer for Smith College (Northampton, MA) and was responsible for all aspects of the College’s interior design. During her tenure at Smith, Lisa contributed greatly to the College’s reputation for a high standard of student housing. She provided programming, space planning, interior specifications and budgeting for all dormitories, administrative and academic spaces. Lisa has worked with both local and national architectural firms including Archimetrics Design Studio, Dietz and Company, Kuhn Riddle, Goody Clancy, Juster Pope Frazier, Polshek Partnership, Shepley Bullfinch Richardon & Abbot, The Hillier Group, and Thomas Douglas Architects. Lisa is certified through the National Council of Interior Designers (NCIDQ) and is a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID).
Services Offered
Established by Lisa Lukas in 1990, Lukas Design provides interior design services for commercial, institutional, and residential clients. Lukas Design's goal is to provide clients with creative and functional design solutions utilizing techniques and materials consistent with today’s green building goals. Interior specification services include programming, space planning, bid-ready specifications and schedules for finishes, furnishings, lighting, and millwork design. Expertise includes client relations, project development, construction management, budget development and oversight. Key components of projects include team coordination, budget and schedule sensitivity, and attention to detail. Lukas Design works collaboratively to seek the best solution for each project coordinating with owners, architects, engineers, contractors, and trades people.
