About

Lucy Jensen Studio opened in 1989, specializing in murals, decorative painting, and faux finishes. With a foundation in fine art and extensive experience in scenic art for movies, television, and amusement parks, the studio has established itself as a source of unique, site specific imagery, creating works for residences, shopping malls, showrooms, bookstores, and offices. As of 2012, we have featured works in fourteen Southern California Showcase houses and two episodes of HGTV's "Designing for the Sexes," (2002-03). Our work has been published in Los Angeles Magazine, the Los Angeles Times, and is included in Street Gallery, an anthology of culturally significant murals in Los Angeles. Services Offered

Lucy Jensen Studio designs and produces murals, trompe l'oeil, decorative painting, and faux finishes, including metal leafing, for residential and commercial clients. The studio accepts all size projects, from small niches to entire rooms. At an initial meeting, I learn the particulars of the site, the design goals, color palette, etc. Next, I provide a cost estimate. Upon its approval, a to-scale sketch or work sample is created. After the final rendering is approved, time is scheduled for the actual project. Each work is unique. My goal is to create visually inspiring works, guided by the tone and character of a space, and by the needs and desires of the people who live, work, and play in it. Fee Structures

The pricing is based on time and materials calculated for each project. The total cost of a project and the payment schedule is stated in the work agreement, which is signed before work begins. Usually, fifty percent payment is required at the start and the final fifty percent upon completion. Drawings and samples are included in the price, and are not charged separately unless requested by the client.
