About
Lynn Kaplan is a fully licensed New York State Interior designer. She has passed the NCIDQ exam, is a Professional member of ASID and has a Master's Degree in Interior Design from Pratt Institute. She currently also teaches in the Long Island University Interior Design Certificate program at CW Post college. She has practiced design for 30 years. Randy Foss is the other ASID member on our staff who has been practicing for 30 years. Randy has a Master's Degree in Art Education and an Interior Design Diploma from Wilsey Institute.
Services Offered
Lynn F. Kaplan Designs is a full service design firm specializing in residential, small commercial and office design. We offer complete design service including floor planning, furniture design and lay-out, custom furniture designs, space planning for new and renovation projects as well as purchasing and placement. Our approach to design is flexible. We will plan and execute the complete project or aid in developing the clients' design dreams.

Fee Structures
Lynn F. Kaplan Designs, Ltd. accepts all types of design work, from accessorizing a single room to architectural lay-outs and designs for the whole house or office. We charge an initial design fee for measurement and lay-out, price depending on the scope of the work. Thereafter, we bill at 30 percent over our net cost for goods and services which is usually 20-60 percent of the retail price, that is, we get a discout of 20-60 percent and the client pays 30 percent over that reduced cost.
