I received my degree in Interior Design from The Art Institute of Philadelphia in 1985 and began designing specifically kitchens and baths in 1987. I passed the NCIDQ exam in 1993 and also joined ASID in the same year. In 1989 I joined a kitchen and bath showroom and worked there for 20 years until the owners retired. Currently, I am the Creative Director for Teknika Design Group in Philadelphia, Pa. Teknika specializes is mid to high end kitchens and baths from the original design process through installation including project management. When we hire the contractor and complete the installation, we warrant all work for 3 years from date of completion. During my career, I have entered several design competitions with the National Kitchen and Bath Association as well as Sub-Zero/Wolf. I was awarded an honorable mention from the NKBA design competition in 1993.
