About

www.dovetaildescon.com With years of experience in interior design, my husband and I own Dovetail: Design & Construction, Inc. in Denver. My work includes space planning, finish and furniture selection, and color design. Some of my residential work was published in Colorado Homes & Lifestyles, and I've written an article for a local publication entitled "Aging Well-at Home". Also, we must keep updated in our profession, so I take a variety of CEU classes each year. A special expertise is color design, & I am certified by and now a past president of the Intl. Assoc. of Color Consultants/Designers - North America & began an on-going education in using color for best results in 1991. Also, I have twice been on the board of ASID Colorado.

My design strengths are residential remodeling, space planning, and color design, though I have years of experience in commercial office design as well. I am flexible in design approach, tailoring the interior design to the personal needs of my client, not my own wishes for best function or style. Because of extensive design experience, I am capable of guiding a project to completion, working diplomatically with all parties & myriad details. Fee Structures

Presently, I charge $90 per hour & usually do not charge for an initial visit, so that I can get enough information to prepare a proposal. For smaller projects, I often prepare a top-set fee based upon the amount of time estimated to be involved. I will do smaller projects depending on current workload.
