Melanie Morrison, ASID, RID received her Interior Design degree in 1996. While she was in school, she was employed as a design assistant for a prominent residential designer in Houston. Upon graduation, she was hired by KAI, a well-known model merchandising firm based in Houston, TX. She quickly advanced to become a Senior Project Manager, overseeing and designing hundreds of models all over the United States for numerous builders. Her models won several awards and some were published in builder magazines. In 2002, Melanie sat for the prestigious NCIDQ exam becoming a certified Interior Designer. She also became a registered Interior Designer in Texas. In 2003, Melanie established Morrison Interiors, Inc.

Morrison Interiors, Inc. offers a full range of design services; from design consultation to turn-key installation. We specialize in residential interiors, model-merchandising for builders and boutique office spaces. Our projects encompass a wide range of budgets and styles. Many of our residential clients have never used an interior designer before hiring our firm. We listen to our clients to determine their needs and pride ourselves on designing exceptional solutions. Our core business philosophy is the Golden Rule, and as such, we treat all clients as we ourselves would like to be treated.

Fee Structures

Morrison Interiors offers a complimentary initial interview to potential clients. The interview usually lasts 30 minutes or less and is not considered a consultation. Our design services are billed by the hour and a retainer of $1000 is required along with a contract to employ our firm. The retainer is applied toward the project. Shopping services are available for an hourly fee plus a markup on WHOLESALE (20-40%). We also offer a 2-hour design consultation for a flat fee of $200.
