Allied Members
Allied Membership Qualifications
Eligible individuals are practicing interior designers who have completed 40 semester or 60 quarter credit hours in interior design education from an accredited institution (university, college or technical school). Architects or individuals are also eligible upon completion of 40 semester/60-quarter hours of architectural education from an institution accredited by the appropriate regional or national institutional accrediting body.
Continuing education coursework/hours do not count toward meeting the education requirement for membership. Copy of official college transcript and/or technical school records verifying course completion and credit hours is required.
The correct use of the ASID appellation supports the value of membership. All members agree to follow specific guidelines, including the use of the Society's name when identifying themselves to the public.
ASID requires practitioner members to complete 0.6 CEUs every two years to maintain their membership.
If you qualify for allied membership and are also an interior design educator, you are eligible to receive a discount worth $160 off your annual membership dues! Click here for more information.
International Allied Membership Qualifications
This membership is reserved for interior designers, who meet the current allied member eligibility requirements, but whose residence and principal place of business lie outside the boundaries of an ASID chapter.
