Allied Membership Qualifications
Eligible individuals are practicing interior designers who have completed 40 semester or 60 quarter credit hours in interior design education from an accredited institution (university, college or technical school). Continuing education coursework/hours do not count toward meeting the education requirement for membership. Official college transcript and/or technical school records verifying course completion and credit hours is required.
The correct use of the ASID appellation supports the value of membership. All members agree to follow specific guidelines, including the use of the Society's name when identifying themselves to the public.
ASID now requires practitioner members to complete 0.6 CEUs every two years to maintain their membership.

International Allied Membership Qualifications
This membership is reserved for interior designers, who meet the current Allied member eligibility requirements, but whose residence and principal place of business lie outside the boundaries of an ASID chapter.
Official college transcript and/or technical school records verifying degree obtained is required.

Membership Incentive! ASID Allied Members in good standing who successfully pass the NCIDQ exam and advance from allied to professional member will receive the first full year of their professional membership for FREE. Allied members must submit their NCIDQ proof of passage to ASID headquarters within one year of their exam date to qualify for the dues waiver.
