Elemental materials such as bamboo, aluminum, lapis stone and translucent or softly reflective finishes give this well-appointed kitchen a sense of delight. Bold horizontal shapes and meticulously planned spaces defy the modest square footage.
The resulting galley kitchen seems deceptively large and connects magnetically with adjacent living spaces.

Maximized Space and View:
A vibrant urban place was created by removing the wall separating the living/dining space and the former second bedroom to create an alcove for enjoying the new media room equipment, reading, and intensifying the downtown views and sense of roominess of the living spaces. / 2008 ASID Dallas DesignOvation Award - Victory Park Condo
Literally working from an ill-proportioned white “box”, an impressive human-scaled media room was created to provide a family friendly environment in which to watch high definition videos, enjoy gaming, dining , listening to music or visiting with friends. The diverse lighting assists the many different venues of the room. / 2010 ASID Dallas DesignOvation Award
Our visual perception of this space is redirected by the skillful use of the horizontal line. The eye sweeps along the sections of the exotic poured glass bricks and the wooden inserts, focusing on the shimmer and beauty of the rich materials, the unique sconce and the uncommon vanity design. / 2010 ASID Dallas DesignOvation Award - Powder Room
With a clear vision of how to maximize this compact space for a comfortable urban life, the designer's plan offers a sense of spaciousness, vibrancy and stylish simplicity. Fewer but more important pieces were selected, allowing them to play a supporting role to the million dollar view out the window and the wondrous art works wit / High Rise Living

This Subway Café, a leap beyond the standard Subway, received a design award from the Washington Metropolitan Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers. Its upbeat, contemporary design was planned to complement the upscale office building it serves. Color, texture, art and comfortable seating help provide a pleasant break from office routine for breakfast or lunch. All this from what once was part of an underground parking garage. / New Concept for Subway
This remodeled and enlarged master bath is as practical as it is beautiful. Custom cabinets provide ample storage and eliminate clutter. The roll-top garage “parks” the necessities out of sight. The limestone counters and abundant mirror is the perfect backdrop for the gorgeous blue glass of the vessel sinks. Blue accents repeat in the tiled shower and floor. / Master Bath
This luxury condo kitchen replaced a dated contemporary kitchen with a tiny island and an attached, dark pantry. The designer opened the pantry and added the angled peninsula to provide seating and allow placement of the sink where the client can converse with guests and family and enjoy the room’s panoramic view. Traditional styling and decorative lighting provide the backdrop for antique furnishings and collectibles. / Updated Kitchen
Today’s master bedroom is multifunctional. This comfortable seating area is a quiet setting for conversation, reading, or watching the latest movie. The deep blue of the patterned sheer at the windows is repeated in decorative pillows and diamond accents in the custom carpet. The handsome halogen floor lamp adds clear light. Artful photographs of Washington, D.C. by Robin Kent provide the finishing touch. Visit www.photographybykent.comto see more photographs. / A QUIET RETREAT
The Great Room furniture layout was planned so that the master of the house would be able to enjoy the view and the TV from his chair, while he works at the pop-up work surface in his ottoman. The room is also planned for ambience and entertaining. New furniture has been mixed with a few pieces from their previous home. / A GREAT ROOM WITH A VIEW
Art & function come together in this whimsical and colorful kitchen.
The chef enjoys cooking in this large country style kitchen. The rolling ladder allows access to the upper cabinets.
The undulating "Yin & Yang" dual vanities surround the large whirlpool in the new bay niche and gives a comforting Zen feel.
Strong horizontal lines in this loft space bath help disguise the low ceiling.
Different shapes and colors create a visual delight in this contemporary kitchen.
The owners added a room on the rear of their home to accomodate large family parties, views to the water, and access to a deck. The large island provides ample storage and an expanse of countertop for 2 or more cooks using beautiful wood-stained cabinets with a Craftsmen style. / 2007 Kitchen Addition
