How deep does that cavern go? Actually, not very deep...it's a mural designed to give depth and perspective to a very small wine tasting room. The other wall has a mirror to reflect that depth, and give a sense of old world charm and mystery. Interior design and architectural detailing by Alexander Interiors. / A Taste of Wine in a Cavernous Cellar
This award-winning kitchen was completely gutted. Custom maple cabinets with tinted glass inserts, dark blue concrete countertops, a starfire glass breakfst bar, low-voltage blue lighting, oak flooring and contemporary artwork were brought together to create a kitchen that fits the owners' sophisticated style. / Contemporary Kitchen in Historic 1890's Townhome
This award-winning kitchen, which was also featured on the 2006 Kitchen Spectacular Tour, was 1960's white laminate and was completely gutted. The doorway was widened to incorporate the den as a kitchen sitting area. Fruitwood and slate green stained cabinets, Cambria countertops, colorful glass tiles and white oak floors updated the kitchen to coordinate with the rest of the home which showcases red oriental accessories. Doors and some cabinet doors were fitted with tinted/etched glass panels to open up the space. A red-walled powder bath completed the renovation. / Soft Contemporary Kitchen
This family theater/entertaining space was completely renovated. The ceiling was raied with pipes replaced, new windows and gas fireplace added, new cabinetry installed and outfitted with furnishings that can take heavy use from the owners' two teenage boys and their friends. A new kitchen, wine cellar, powder bath and sports equipment storage room completed the renovation. Rubber flooring was used on the steps to the basement and the sports storage room to stand up to the snow and heavy useage. / Basement Theater Room in 1920's Tudor Home
This traditional showhouse kitchen in a 1920's tudor home was completely gutted. The "hot" walls include a cooktop with custom hood. The "cold" wall includes the refrigerator, farmhouse sink and dishwashers. Italian renaissance backsplash tiles set the color scheme for the kitchen. A lit, recessed ceiling niche showcases handpainted characters taken from the cooktop backsplash. / ASID Showcase Home Kitchen in Tudor Home
This award-winning library/home office features sitting, working, game areas, distinctive millwork, three book bays for browsing and bronze female statues. The furnishings featured are an eclectic mix of period, oriental and traditional pieces to create a relaxing, inviting ambiance. / Library/Home Office in ASID Showcase Home
A beautiful country Master Bathroom combining fine art in an elegant setting bringing serenity and comfort to these clients as they begin their day. Our design removed the walls between the Living Room and Dining Room and replaced with structurally with classic style columns to create a more open feeling to the townhouse. Neutral tones with touches of color bring sophistication to a once ordinary town house. / Transitionalizing a Town Home
A classic turn of the century mansion restored to its glory for Twin Maples Show House in Summit, NJ. A once dark basement space that housed coal for heating the house years ago was transformed into this stunning home cinema for comfortable entertaining. Original concrete walls became acoustically sound and new "green" heating with Gio thermal ductwork brought heat and air-conditioning to the space for cost saving. Totally planned and designed by Interior Decisions, working and overseeing contractors throughout the project. This is a permanent exhibit as the mansion is available for catered affairs. / TWIN MAPLES CENTENNIAL DESIGNER SHOW HOUSE 2008
Traditional, elegant and classic is this bedroom of French Regency styling with soft tones of blue and an array of textures and tones. Walls are decoratively hand painted. Architectural moldings create vertical panels making the room appear taller. We called it "Jackie's Retreat" in memory of our past first lady as if she were a frequent guest at the estate and a special guest room was set aside for her. / A retreat at the Rumson Stately Homes by the Sea Designer Show House 2007.
Great Room - The first room viewed from the entry. Overlooking the golf course and polo grounds, this functional wall unit with decorative up/down lighting wrapped around the angled passageway to the kitchen and family room. White Japanese ash wood veneer, with edged, honed travertine that matched the floor stones, this piece was pillared by pilasters over 23' tall, using rolled gold aluminum to eliminate unsightly seams, and avoid dangerous breakage from standard glass mirror sheets.

Master Bedroom - The free-standing wall unit was custom-designed with the color and fabric schemes in mind. A composite "bird's-eye" maple veneer was used with Japanese Black Ash as the accent. Fabric fans adorn the arches, where home theater speakers are hidden in an acoustically-engineered enclosure. The iridescence of the veneer was almost magical.

My clients desired a beautiful formal living room. The addition of a fireplace was exactly what this space needed. We purchased a custom area rug and custom designer artwork to tie in the color scheme. All furnishings and accessories were purchased to make this transitional living room timeless and elegant.
The Master Bathroom was totally remodeled. It has heated marble floors. I combined 3 different surface materials using dark and light stones. For the counters, I chose onyx, which can be lit by an electrical switch! The mirrored frames by the vanities are made out of marble. All of the cabinetry is custom made. This beautiful, romantic, and dramatic bathroom is truly a room you do not want to leave!
This new kitchen was totally remodeled and updated. Notice the two islands and an extension off one of the islands where the family eats. The beautiful granite and backlit glass tile backsplash truly compliment the mahogany cabinetry with state of the art kitchen appliances including a built in wok!
