The challenges of this small powder room were to create a successful extension of the homes established sophisticated casual style. The existing flooring as well as the plumbing locations could not be changed when creating this statement room. by incorporating the wall mounted copper faucet and copper sink, Marais teardrop etched glass sconces from France and a custom rich patina mirror embedded with Swavorski Crystals, we were able to acheive an engaging and well executed design which the clients love. / powder room

This contemporary kitchen features wenge' wood cabinets with the grain running horizontal. The quartz countertop material runs up onto the backsplash. The large 2 x 4 format porcelain tile has a striking contrast to the dark wood. Stainless steel cabinets, hardware and strategically placed toe kicks are incorporated. A large wall was removed and doorways were opened up when designing this space to acheive the best entertainment flow.

An extra room became a wine cellar for a serious wine collector. The vaulted ceiling was faux painted with grape vines and leaves reminiscent of autumn colors. The slate tile floor has the same burnished colors of autumn. / Wine Cellar
Each year a team of talented ASID designers are chosen to design a room in this historic English Gothic Revival mansion which was built in 1928 for the Doheny Family. I designed this dressing table with shallow drawers for jewelry in a french polished light sycamore wood to contrast with the light grey sofa. The angular shaped knobs on the drawers repeat the shape of the art deco style lamp. And the large mirror reflects the glamour of it all. / "Dressing up" in the Master Bedroom

This elegant, understated, corner has beautifully clear forms in contrasting textures of cotton satin on the sofa, polished aluminum table, beaded lamp shade, pleated silk covered slipper chair, and grey/white sisal rug edged in grey-white leather.
