San Francisco Loft Kitchen
Project Name: San Francisco Loft Kitchen Size: 3,000 sf Services: Interior Architecture Creative design on a tight budget was a key consideration in the solution for this open plan space. Taking advantage of soaring 14 foot ceilings and sweeping city views, the final design addressed the desire for open plan living spaces. A crisp, clean palette with punches of vibrant color, a modern streamlined kitchen and bold art create a happy and comfortable environment. / San Francisco Loft Kitchen
Fieldstone House
Project Name: Fieldstone House, Sonoma, CA Size: 4,100 sf Services: Interior Architecture This custom home was thoughtfully designed for a young, active family in the heart of wine country. Designed to address the clients’ desire for indoor / outdoor living, the home embraces its surroundings and is sited to take full advantage of the panoramic views and outdoor entertaining spaces. The interior space of the three bedroom, 2.5 bath home is divided into three distinct zones: a public living area; a two bedroom suite; and a separate master suite, which includes an art studio. Casually relaxed, yet startlingly original, the structure gains impact through the sometimes surprising choice of materials, which include field stone, integral concrete floors, glass walls, Honduras mahogany veneers and a copper clad central fireplace. This house showcases the best of modern design while becoming an integral part of its spectacular setting. / Fieldstone House
Bernal Heights Home Office
Project Name: Bernal Heights Home Office, San Francisco, CA Size: 110 sf Services: Custom Casework Design This room in an early 1900’s Victorian needed to do double duty –a functional workspace for an IT manager who works from home and a comfortable sleeping quarters to accommodate overnight guests. DMA was tasked with designing a custom work surface and wall shelving, as well as sourcing the rest of the room’s furnishings and accessories. The warm palette plays nice with the rest of the residence and the framed photography, shot by one of the owners, was inspired by the bent wood light fixture. Done on a tight budget, this project marries the best of custom and cost effective solutions that create a harmonious and beautiful space in which to work and relax. / Bernal Heights Home Office
Daly Mansion
Project Name: Daly Mansion Remodel, San Francisco, CA Size: 2,000 sf Services: Interior Design The attic level of this 1895 Victorian Tower house received a state of the art facelift in this gut renovation. One of the historic building’s owners decided to make the 2,000 sf top floor his home, taking full advantage of sweeping views of the city skyline and the East Bay. The first task was rethinking the layout of the space from many small, oddly proportioned rooms into a series of suites that accommodate the client’s modern lifestyle. The new apartment includes a custom kitchen, a master bedroom suite, open living and dining area, a guest room and bath, and a tower room that features a custom light installation. A sophisticated palette of warm neutrals with punches of vibrant earth tones provides an apt foundation for the owner’s contemporary art collection. / Daly Mansion
2010 Decorator Showcase
Project Name: 2010 SFDC, San Francisco, CA Size: 110 sf Services: Interior Architecture Taking the elements of the traditional 1929 bathroom as a spring board, this bathroom’s design asserts that modern interiors can live beautifully within a conventional backdrop. While paying homage to the work-a-day bathroom, the finished room successfully combines modern sophistication and whimsy. The familiar black and white tile clad bathroom was re-envisioned utilizing a custom mosaic tile, updated fixtures and fittings, an unexpected color palette, state of the art light fixtures and bold modern art. The original dressing area closets, given a face lift with new finish and hardware, were the inspiration for the new custom vanity - modern in concept, but incorporating the grid detail found in the original casework. / 2010 Decorator Showcase

Morning area of a nautical kitchen
Strong sunlight and reflections from the lake required film on the windows. The awning valance softens the bay window without distracting from the beautiful view. We reused clients chairs having them painted to match the red from the window fabric and nautical rug under the table. Chair seats are plaid and the wing chair has light houses in the fabric / Morning area of a nautical kitchen
Sunroom off kitchen
We kept the existing furniture (reupholstered)and moved a rug from the dining room, painted, put it all on angles and got a whole new room. The client and I have been working on her home for 4 years. She does most of the painting so we move to new projects as her time allows. We have done master bedroom & bath, kitchen, foyer & dining room, upstairs bath, this sunroom and new wood floors in the upstairs hall. / Sunroom off kitchen
Dining room- layers of light
This room is part of a new construction project. It was completed in 2005 and on the Parade of Homes Tour that year. There are layers of lighting in this dining room. Recessed ceiling cans the tray ceiling, tray perimeter is lighted, recessed cans in soffit around the room, sconces along the two long walls, and finally the chandelier is real candles. any mood or effect can be created with these combinations. The walls are a bronzed chocolate above the paneling and inside the tray ceiling is a soft water color blue green. Silk puddled panels are cream and soft bronze. The is much entertaining here! / Dining room- layers of light
