2007 Legacy of Design Rising Star Award of Merit in Kitchen Design A fresh interpretation of traditional forms and materials transformed this kitchen remodel project from its former Old World style to an open, bright space perfect for entertaining. / Radiant Kitchen

2009 Design Ovation 2nd Place "One Unique Space" An intimate room to play cards with friends is carved out of space adjacent to the curving entry staircase. The fireplace and artwork bring warmth into the space in contrast to the two walls of windows and French doors that flood the room with light and add additional visual space. / Intimate Card Room

2009 Legacy of Design Rising Star 2nd Place in Residence (Any Size) A small lot in an historic neighborhood provides the perfect opportunity to create a fresh interpretation of English Jacobean architecture for this new construction residence that blends seamlessly into its surroundings. / Jacobean Master Bedroom

2010 Legacy of Design Rising Star 1st Place Residential Kitchen The clients’ love of nature, outdoor sports, and hunting is reflected in the earthy color palette and mix of materials in this new construction kitchen, including: stone, wood, brick, metals, and special finishes. A custom hand-hammered vent hood highlights the centerpiece of the kitchen design – a rare fossilized sea bed fragment from Wyoming that includes three complete prehistoric fish, which is installed with a travertine tile surround over the cook top. / Naturally Sophisticated Kitchen

When designing the kitchen, it was important that the space blended well with the beautiful woodwork and charm of this well-preserved Milwaukee-style bungalow. We chose cabinets, hardware, and colors that were in keeping with the character and added updated amenities like stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. We were limited on space in this kitchen project and wanted to maximize storage and efficiency. We also added environmentally friendly features like Energy Star appliances, fluorescent lighting, handmade environmentally-friendly tiles, and an upgraded Energy Star ceiling fan. / Bungalow Kitchen
