Custom built-in by Rustic Woodworks hides a television and A/V equipment while also functioning as a display area for the owner's glass collection. / Rustic Contemporary living room

The asymmetrical moss rock fireplace with lava glass creates a wonderful blend of contemporary and rustic. The Farmhouse Collection bed is made up with bedding from Mario and Marielena. / Rustic Contemporary master bedroom

Wagon wheels found on the property were turned into chandeliers and the furnishings blend Old Hickory with European antiques and cowboy memorabilia. / Western Homestead great room

Lynne Bier won the ASID Colorado Chapter Crystal Award for Residential Single Space for the design of this area. The custom designed valances cast light down the face of the bookshelves and create an inviting passageway to the master bedroom. / Hall/Library

Our comfortable home in Downtown Seattle

A colleague of ours convinced Beth and me to submit this image to a call-for-entry on TV. Sure enough we got a call from a show called "Small Space Big Style" who filmed us in our home. Small spaces require flexible furniture. The sofa and chaise both convert to accommodate good conversation, movie viewing or napping. We commissioned renowned Seattle artist, Michael Schultheis, to prepare the work you see here, called "Expansion Fractions", above the sofa by Ligne Roset. The walls are a soft butter-lemon yellow by C2 called "bees knees". / Our comfortable home in Downtown Seattle

Clean lines, spare furnishings, natural elements, and art glass were key factors for the Owen residence. The Owens enjoy intimate conversations with friends and family here. / Owen Residence Living Room

Games and puzzles play out on the table beyond the conversation area. / Owen Residence

Dr. Boggs loves visiting tropical islands with his family. It was Keith's responsibility to bring home to him the essence of that restful time away. Hand tailored silk drapery and commissioned fiber art are the backdrop for classic modern furniture, rattan and tropical plants. / Boggs Residence
