About

From the very first days of her life, Nicoletta Camerin has been surrounded by extraordinary environments in virtue of her family business. She grew up learning how to sell jewels in her grandparents jewelry store and later, when in her teens, she learned about antiques and fine art thanks to her father Bruno who, at that time, was an antique dealer. Fiammetta Whitcomb, Nicoletta’s mother, was born in London and transmitted her love for different cultures and travelling to both her daughters. This love became a part of Nicoletta’s character and was reflected in her choice of her studies: foreign languages. She graduated from Bologna University in Foreign Literature and Languages. This was a great accomplishment but wasn’t quite enough for her standards: she realized that she wanted to deepen her knowledge about interiors and design. Whilst searching for different universities, she to discovered the Academy of Art during a holiday in San Francisco. Already in love with the city, the decision was immediate. She graduated in Interior Design and Architecture in December 2006. Nicoletta founded Camerin USA in March 2007, she had her showroom inside the San Francisco Design Center for three years. In 2010 she moved her design studio to Sonoma.

Nicoletta Camerin, ASID, has an extensive knowledge of interiors and architecture and her style can range from extremely traditional to cutting edge contemporary, most of the time combining the two in a stylish setting. She loves to look at every project with a critical eye, trying to move away from the conventional to find unexpected solutions and to create stimulating and provocative environments. What matters most to her is to helping her clients identify what they really desire and what really makes them feel good in a space. Everybody is influenced by the environment, even if they don’t realize it. Light, color, texture, sound, view, these are some of the elements to be considered when thinking about a space. Nicoletta will make them all come together in a perfect combination creating the space that is just right for you. Camerin USA, LLC offers a first free consultation with the client that is helpful to determine what is the scope of the project and what it may involve. Depending on the mutual needs of the client and the designer, it can be agreed to work on a fixed fee for the project scope or on an hourly basis. Camerin USA, LLC fees range from $75 to $110/hr depending on principal or assistant work.
