For Chapters

Real World Design Week, November 2 - 8, 2014, is a program designed to encourage relationships among interior design students and their role models in the industry.

Through organized shadow day experiences hosted by practicing design professionals, Real World Design Week can help your chapter to:

  • educate future industry leaders on professional practices
  • provide networking opportunities and foster mentoring
  • sustain the interior design profession
  • increase student membership
  • improve student retention and advancement rates
  • improve relations between practitioners and students within chapters
  • identify new candidates for future chapter leaderships
  • strengthen the positive image of ASID in the design community
  • increase awareness of ASID within the general public

If your chapter has best practices that you would like to share with ASID, we would love to hear them! No chapter is the same, and we want to give each region the opportunity to make RWDW the best it can be for your local members. Contact with your ideas or suggestions to share!
