Antique Persian Rug Dictates Design

An antique Persian rug sets the tone for the design of the parlor in this historic estate built in 1839. The fireplace completely
dominates the room—constructed as was the intention of the architecture at the time to take up almost the entire wall. All the
furniture is new including the19th century style camelback sofa covered in a mohair fabric. The color scheme is intense yet cheerful.
The intent of the room is to present a welcoming feeling. The clients use it as a sitting room adjacent to the library.
