About
We have been in business for 10 years and are a staple in the Dallas design scene. We are familiar with a wide range of styles - from traditional to ultra modern. We consistently demonstrate a chameleon-like ability to elicit the personal or corporate style of each new client, while simultaneously maintaining a respect for the existing structure. We strive to treat each project, from a multi-level commercial space to a small home renovation, with the same level of professionalism and attention to detail. Our staff can follow designs from the conceptual stages through drafting, bid negotiation, permitting, purchasing, construction and finally to completion. We're here to represent our client's interests and ensure quality of design and craftsmanship at every opportunity. About Donovan Donovan Lord studied Marketing at Southern Methodist University as well as received his BFA in Interior Architecture and Design from Academy of Art University San Francisco as well as being a candidate for his Masters Degree in Architecture.

Fee Structures
Edict's fee structure depends upon the project. We charge one of three ways: 1) Hourly - If you simply need some basic general design advice and guidance and do not want us to design the space(s) completely, it is usually best to be charged on an hourly basis. A few hours of consultation can lead you in the right direction when implementing your own design. 2) Flat Fee - If you would like us to handle the entire project from beginning to end, including design concepts, fabric/material selections, furnishings purchases, construction documentation, etc. we advise our clients to select a Flat Fee method so that there are no surprises. Our flat fee is usually based on a percentage of your overall budget. Also, if you decide to have us purchase furnishings for your space, you can typically save 50% off the retail prices. As designers, we can get most things at cost or 50% off retail. For example, if you wanted to purchase a desk that retails for $1000, we typically can get it for $500. We would then sell it to you for $700 saving your 30% off the retail pricing! We leave it to our clients to select how they prefer to be billed. It can be intimidating but we walk you through the process before a dime is expended!
