Biography Evelyn Benatar is the founder and president of "New York Interior Design". She has almost 15 years experience in the Interior Design field. Her practice is focased on both residential and commercial spaces. Educational Background The Fashion Institute of Tecnology(Cum Laude) The New York School of Interior Design Scalamandre F. Schumacher & Co. Susan Morrow ASID Awards/Achievements Evelyn Benatars' Children's Rooms are featured in Shiffer Publishings internationally distributed book:"Special Spaces for Newborns to Teenagers". In November of 2004 Evelyn is honored to have been one of the designers choosen to decorate a room in the first Metro ASID Designer Showhouse in Scarsdale N.Y. In June of 2005 Evelyns' kitchens are published in another book called "Traditional Style Kitchens". In June of 2005 Evelyn Benatar is featured on a TV show called "The New Yorkers" It is a round table disscussion about "New York Interior Design".

Complete Interior Design Service. New construction or renovation. From implementation of floor plan to selection of flooring, color scheme, rugs, lighting, all kitchen and bathroom surfaces and fixtures, fabric, furniture, antiques, window treatments, art work and accessories.

Evelyn Benatar offers an initial consultation at no charge in the N.Y. metro area. Our main areas of conducting business are:The North Shore of Long Island, Manhattan and Westchester.Our billing is based on an hourly fee.(with a minimum of three hours) There is never any commission. Purchases for your project are made at net cost. Everything from floor plans to the selection of paint,wallpaper, furniture, antiques, rugs, or overseeing new construction is included. There are no extras. We can provide all of the tradesman necessary for your project or we are glad to work with your own sources.
