About
Pamela Portwood, Allied Member ASID, LEED AP, founded Greener Lives LLC as a licensed, full-service interior design firm providing residential design services and specializing in healthy and eco-friendly homes in 2008. By using green design, Pamela creates beautiful, stylish homes that also foster the health and well being of the homes' residents and the environment. She also provides aging-in-place design services to create wonderful homes that meet her clients' needs and desires now and in the future. Her designs and business have been featured in Tucson Lifestyle, Green Living Magazine, Arizona Daily Star and other publications. She is an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers and a LEED Accredited Professional. She also serves on the Governing Council of the Sonoran Branch of the U.S. Green Building Council - Arizona Chapter. Greener Lives has received a national Green Business Certification from Green America.
Services Offered
As a licensed, full-service, interior design firm, Greener Lives provides interior design services both large and small. We can help you select paint colors to spruce up your home, or we can design and oversee a complete home remodel. One of our great strengths as a design firm is listening to you, finding out what really matters to you and your family. While Greener Lives specializes in sustainable homes, your home should be green and more. It should be beautiful and stylish, livable and functional. Your home should meet your and your family's needs. Your home can be all of these things, and at Greener Lives, we will work with you and your budget to discover and design your dream home.
Awards

Details Make the Design
In this living room, leather upholstery and rustic wood furniture provide the foundations for the Western look, but the details - nail heads on the upholstery, Native American patterns on the pillows, Western art and even a saddle displayed as a sculpture - are what truly define the room's style. / Details Make the Design
Expanding a Style Using Eclecticism
This Spanish-style dining room adds a formal and upscale note to a Western-style home. The Spanish style works well with the Western style because of the crossover of Mexican influences in the Western United States. / Expanding a Style Using Eclecticism
Making Difficult Spaces Work
The original homeowners added these pillars and arch to frame their bed, but for the new homeowner, the space was too small for a king-size bed set. Using small, triangular end tables with the existing can lighting instead of standard nightstands with table lamps made the space work. / Making Difficult Spaces Work
Creating Intimate Spaces
Adding a table for two in the corner of a bedroom or a living room creates a space for an intimate breakfast or a shared game. Such spaces also capture the warmth that transforms a house into a home. / Creating Intimate Spaces
Working with Smaller Spaces
Smaller spaces, like the living room in this apartment model, need smaller scale furniture to open up the rooms and to create livable spaces. / Working with Smaller Spaces
