About
Mr. Patrick J. Baglino Jr., ASID, has over fifteen years of experience planning and designing residential interiors for clientele up and down the East Coast. He has developed a reputation for his harmonious blending of classic and contemporary elements and is recognized by House Beautiful Magazine as one of America’s “Top Young Designers”. After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree with Honors in the studies of Fashion Merchandising and Interior Design from New York University, Mr. Baglino amassed a wide range of experience in various industries. Prior to his career and practice of residential interior design, Mr. Baglino managed store layout, design and development and buying for retail establishments Crabtree & Evelyn, Dean & Deluca, and April Cornell. In this role, he further developed artistic talent and project management skills in support of niche retail brand and business strategies. Engaged by the challenge of working independently with clients to create distinctive personal spaces, Mr. Baglino, now manages and oversees all design work in his Washington DC firm, Patrick J. Baglino, Jr. Interior Design. With a style coined as “Urban Sophisticated”, he continues to create comfortable, empathetic, yet livable spaces for new and repeat residential clients. His work has been published in Elle Decor, DC Modern Luxury, HOME, The Washington Post Style Magazine, The Washington Blade, The Washington Post Style section, HGTV.com and numerous other Shelter magazines. In March 2012, Mr. Baglino earned the title of winning interior designer of HGTV's Washington DC "Showhouse Showdown" reality TV series. Also in 2012, Mr. Baglino gained recognition as "Best of Houzz" on the very popular Houzz.com website.

Metropolitan Dining Room
Set with our signature "Urban Sophisticated" touch, this formal dining room combines traditional furniture with a contemporary twist. The traditional chairs and table are crowned by a contemporary drum shade chandelier. Vibrant paintings and a sideboard sculpture add drama and color to the space. Luxurious custom window treatments and chair fabrics softly bathe the room with a neutral glow. Published in 'Elle Decor'. / Metropolitan Dining Room
"Urban Sophisticated" Living Room
This living room design was created for HGTV's hit television series "Showhouse Showdown". It is a competition show where two professional interior designers go head to head designing and decorating identical homes, with the same budget. I am pleased and proud to be the winner of the 2012 National Harbor, Washington, DC "Showhouse Showdown". The living room is an eclectic mix of fun, functional, timeless pieces of furniture, with accessories adding just the right punctuation and polish to the space. / "Urban Sophisticated" Living Room
Apparent Glamour in the Kitchen
This kitchen was the winning design for HGTV's 2012 "Showhouse Showdown" The kitchen features imported porcelain mosaic tiles with a silver glaze. The tiles are used to create a back splash that is intended to be "show stopping". A center island, houses the kitchen range with exhaust overhead. The Silestone counter tops have abundant sparkling mirrored specs which tie in beautifully with the back splash tiles. The grey hardwood floors are a nice departure from the traditional beige and brown standard. The kitchen incorporates a dining area with a view of National Harbor and Washington, DC. / Apparent Glamour in the Kitchen
Loft Media Room
This loft media room is a symphony of color, pattern, texture, whimsy and comfort. Designed with bold, nature inspired accessories, strong patterned swivel chairs, an ottoman table with a faux crocodile embossed pattern, a beige shag rug with a metallic sheen and a rich, hand-made rosewood media cabinet. A brightly colored abstract painting anchors the room on one side, while on the right side, glass doors head out to a roof top terrace with stunning views of National Harbor. This is a winning design for HGTV's hit competition series, "Showhouse Showdown". / Loft Media Room
Soft hues, muted colors, tranquil space.
The tranquil, soothing colors of this more traditional bedroom set the foundation for unique pieces of furniture that are timeless and unforgetable. This is not only a bedroom, it is a place of retreat, serenity and relaxation. This master bedroom was featured with the rest of this Chevy Chase, Maryland home in Elle Decor. / Soft hues, muted colors, tranquil space.
