About
Rachel Julkowski is an Interior Designer from the Twin Cities. She earned her BFA from the University of Wisconsin-Stout with a concentration in Interior Design and a Business Minor. Rachel is an Accredited Kitchen & Bath Designer with a degree from Century College, a program endorsed by the NKBA. She has worked in the field of design and construction for over 5 years, doing everything from project management and sales, to interior design. She is now the Lead Designer for Julkowski, Inc., a custom building and remodeling company she owns with her husband, James Julkowski. In 2008, Rachel and James designed and built the first LEED Certified home at the Silver level, in Lexington, MN. Rachel plans to add LEED AP to her list of credentials in the coming year. She has been an upstanding member of ASID for 8 years and NKBA for over 4 years. She is now working as a consultant for Elkay Manufacturing and has designed a number of concept sinks, including one for the Minnesota Gopher Football team which will be installed in the new University of Minnesota TCF Bank Stadium.

“Designing for the way people live today and practicing sustainability for tomorrow.” Julkowski, Inc. is a licensed Custom Builder and Remodeler specializing in Kitchens, Baths, and Interior Design since 2001. Rachel Julkowski is the Lead Designer for Julkowski, Inc., and offers a variety of services from remodeling kitchens & baths, to space planning and color selections, to custom home layouts. Rachel has the ability to take her clients from the design phase through the construction phase in a seamless manner, by utilizing the remodeling and building services available through Julkowski, Inc. Clients will be able to visualize their space through a variety of hand drawn renderings and computer aided design, and then see their space come to life under the skilled hands of experienced craftsman. Our goal is to have your remodeling or building experience be exciting and as worry free as possible with a designer and contractor working together to get the job done right.

Fee Structures
OUR PROCESS Phase I - Information Gathering First meeting – hourly fee applied Discuss homeowners’ ideas, visions, space requirements, etc. Discuss budget & timeline Phase II - Design Development Second meeting – hourly fee or retainer applied depending on scope of project Design work and problem solving – includes conceptual drawings & preliminary product selections Phase III - Implementation Final cost, scope of work, drawings, and selections Product ordering – down payments required on all products Implementation Hourly rate: $115 Retainers based upon estimated time it will take to complete design work
