Robin studied interior design at the University of Wisconsin but left her junior year of college to become a flight attendant for a major airline. She continued her studies with the London National Academy of Design. She began her business in 2002. Robin was awarded the "Best Of HOUZZ 2013" and has appeared on "Good Morning America". Robin has been published in Forbes, NJ Monthly, Design NJ and Inside central New Jersey. Her work appears on Kravet and HGTV's websites. Robin has been an active member of the New Jersey chapter-ASID since 2007. She served on the Marketing and Trade Show Committees for 5 years. In 2012, She was the Chair of Student Affairs working with students from 5 colleges and getting them involved with professional designers. In May 2012, Robin LaMonte, 6 students from NJIT, and 2 other ASID college Chairs designed a room for the 2012 Mansion in May Designer Show House. It was the first time in the Show House history where students were involved. Robin recently moved to Atlanta where she continues to serve on committees for the Georgia chapter of ASID.
