Phyllis has been practicing since 1993. She is NCIDQ certified, a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers and a New York State Certified Interior Designer. She served on the ASID NY Metro Board of Directors from 2004-07 and will return again as President Elect for a two year term in 2013. Ms. Harbinger is also a Certified Feng Shui Practitioner, which enables her to integrate Eastern methods and theories of design and balance into her practice. In June 2005, she was chosen as the Winning Designer of Record for an episode of HGTV's hit television show "Designers Challenge" and also appeared as a guest judge on "Battle on the Block." Harbinger is also available for Speaking engagements and has reported to both the Public and the Trade on Color, Design Trends, Feng Shui and Social Media tactics for Interior Designers. Phyllis is an tenured Adjunct Professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology where she currently instructs first year Studio Design courses. This combination of design education and private practice allows Ms. Harbinger to enhance her skills and stay extremely current on design trends, codes and technology, while also creating a unique opportunity to share her valuable knowledge with her clients. Her new Productivity book will be published in June 2014 by Wiley Publishing.
