Kathy began to study interior design during high school at Middle Bucks Vocational Technical School. She graduated from the full time program with awards, one for an internship with Bloomingdales and another for student achievement. Her interior design studies continued at Spring Garden College and Moore College of Art and Design. **** Sixteen years managing a large Interior Design and Home Furnishings Center honed her skills. Merchandising responsibilities included purchasing oriental carpets, furniture, art, lighting and accessories for an 80,000 SF showroom. She was tutored by industry experts on how products were crafted, these lessons were reinforced by visiting international showrooms and production facilities. There are many aspects to supervising a large showroom; account management, product distribution, customer service, labor management, and marketing. This experience provided Kathy with a solid foundation, and knowledge to excel at project management. **** Currently she manages her own boutique firm Hearth & Hedgerow Ltd. along with her husband Ken who specializes in landscaping and finish carpentry. Kathy is passionate about Historic Preservation and enjoys period design from the Renaissance to Mid-Century Modern.
