About

Beverly Voss incorporated her design business in Florida in 1986. She has been a full time licensed professional interior designer for over twenty years and an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) since its inception. She has passed the Building and Barrier Free Codes section of the National Council for Interior Design (NCIDQ) exam in 1995, as required for Florida licensing. By maintaining her Florida license, Beverly is required to attend extensive continuing education classes. This has afforded Beverly the opportunity to become well educated on current and important design topics such as environmentally sensitive (Green) design and the critically important "Healthy Home". Colorado, at this time, does not have similar licensing or educational requirements and Beverly's Florida license thereby ensures she is continually exposed to what is being introduced within the interior design profession to benefit today's educated consumer of interior design services.

Design One Interiors is a full service interior design firm. The company’s 1,800 square foot Design Studio, as well as their company offices, is conveniently located on Airport Road in Breckenridge, Colorado. Design One Interiors’ owners, Beverly and her CPA husband Robert, moved permanently to Breckenridge in January 2005 from Sarasota, Florida. After fifteen years of second home ownership and summers spent in Breckenridge, they decided to make it their home. They immediately moved their business operations to Breckenridge, while still providing limited interior design services to clients in Florida as past clients and their referrals may require. Beverly’s professional experience encompasses an extensive array of design engagements including residential and commercial projects, condominium associations, new construction, remodels and complete home and condominium renovations. She has a keen ability to communicate with her clients in a comfortable manner and discover their design and budgetary objectives and then create a product that meets their desires. Beverly’s Associate Designer, Whitney Hunter, brings a most valuable attribute to the company. She is accomplished in developing scaled computer drawings and hand sketches of the design projects that facilitate visual presentations and space planning. Robert, being a licensed CPA in both Florida and Colorado and the Business Manager for the company, ensures that Design One Interiors complies with the high business standards and financial integrity required in today’s competitive industry of Interior Design. Together, this team of professionals provides quality industry experience and a uniquely balanced talent and expertise required to meet the high demands of their educated and demanding clientele.

Fee Structures

Fees can be structured in many ways and are always addressed during the initial consultation. There is never a fee for initial consultations as we realize there is no engagement until the client indicates the desire to engage our services. For engagements involving product purchases, there is typically no design fee as compensation is derived from the sale of the furniture, accessories, etc. For consultation only engagements an hourly fee is the basis for the designer's compensation. Since some engagements will fall between these two models, the fees in those instances are structured in a manner that is equitable to both parties based on the principles discussed above. Engagement Agreements are utilized in all instances to support a clear understanding of fee arrangements as well as other representations and responsibilities mutually accepted by the parties.
