Ms. Kirkland is an Allied ASID member, with an AAS in Interior Design. Additionally, she is a certified Aging-in-Place specialist (CAPS) through the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and a certified Associate Kitchen and Bath Designer (AKBD) through the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA). Renovating key areas of the home with a "home-for-life" approach, especially bathrooms and kitchens, are the primary focus of Ms. Kirkland's designs. Her business, Bella Bath Surrounds, offers wet-wall systems that look like natural stone, without the expense, sealants and grout! Plus these beautiful systems can be installed in a day! Recognizing an increased interest in living space design that adapts to the evolving needs of an aging population, Ms. Kirkland’s interior design emphasizes safe, functional and attractive solutions to clients, who wish to enjoy their homes now while planning for “later.” Her holistic, “visit-able home” design approach enables clients to welcome guests of all ages and abilities to their home, while creating a foundation for staying in their home for a lifetime. In addition to her involvement with the Missouri-Kansas Chapter of ASID, Ms. Kirkland is the current NKBA Nebraska-Kansas Chapter Secretary.
