Sheri D. Orts opened her studio with a very simple goal: Make the design process enjoyable and rewarding for her clients and herself. Sheri’s unique design solutions reflect her Liberal Arts background and the influence of her extensive journeys throughout Europe and Scandinavia. Sheri is a graduate of the Art Institute of Seattle with an Associate of Applied Arts in Interior Design. After working in the industry for several years she founded Sapphire Studios in March, 2002. Since then she has received numerous awards and recognition including: • Named one of Seattle's "Top 25 Hot Designers" (Northwest Home & Garden, Nov./Dec., 2005) • Featured on HDTV’s Designers' Challenge as a winning designer (June 2005) • Featured in Seattle Homes & Lifestyles: Room for Improvement (December 2004) • Featured on King 5 Evening Magazine - Changing Spaces (February 2003) • 1999 - 2006: Ongoing recognition from the American Society of Interior Designers including Chapter Presidential Citations and Volunteer of the Year

Great design is based on teamwork. Making something aesthetically pleasing is only part of the task - I also want your home or office to function well and to fit your lifestyle. Our relationship begins in your home or office space. We’ll spend some time getting to know each other so that I can get a feel for how you live or work. This will help me to understand your likes, dislikes, and personal preferences. After we review your goals, I'll consider your space with a fresh eye and propose options to make your home or office function optimally. Later, we'll explore creative options that lead to solutions that look as good as they feel. The design process is fun and exciting - your participation is key to our success.

Fee Structures

Sapphire Studios offers an initial one hour consultation at no charge. This is an opportunity for you to learn more about Sapphire Studios and for us to talk about your project. Once we agree to work together a Letter of Agreement will be written that outlines the Scope of Work to be performed and the fee structure for the project.
