About
Veronica Sanders, Student ASID is an interior design major at El Centro Community College who aspires to be a licensed designer. Veronica is the wife of her high school sweetheart, mother of 3 handsome sons, and currently resides in the DFW area. Veronica Sanders has a desire to design/decorate environmentally friendly residential, industrial, theater, and kitchen & bath spaces to the liking of her potential clients. After years of experiencing dead end jobs, Veronica began to wonder what her purpose in life was. She began searching for answers and a defined "Why" to her life. She took a plethora of personality, aptitude and career tests and discovered what her talents were. When she constantly saw interior design come up a s a career choice as well as competency and high spatial/creative abilities, she began to seek information on the career field. She loved that the career allowed her an opportunity to work in an office setting while being able to travel, meet new people and most of all, express herself creatively and being in spaces that are to die for. Now realizing that she often loved home decorating shows, redecorating her own living space, had an eye for colors as well as family and friends asking for decorating/design ideas, she discovered that interior design was the career for her. As a creative, well organized and fun loving individual, Veronica aspired to create spaces with those same ideas in mind, so in October of 2008, she began courses at the Art Institute of Dallas majoring in Interior Design. However her studies were short lived when she discovered that she was expecting a son, but also couldn't afford the pricey tuition. The following year, Veronica pursued an education at Penn Foster Career School taking on Interior Decorating as her major. She buried her head in her schooling and successfully completed her studies in 4 months with a 3.9 GPA. After giving birth to her son and having difficulties finding work, Veronica took a few years off to care for her child. Now Veronica is back at it again and is pursing her Associates Degree as well as a professional certificate in Interior Design at El Centro Community College. She shares her work and passion thus far and hopes to become a junior designer/design assistant as well as to eventually become a fully certified Interior Designer. Veronica's utmost desire is to create spaces that she and her clients will love, have a thriving life and a career she and her family can be proud of. Veronica is a firm believer that in the face of adversity you have to be diligent and continue to stay laser focused on fulfilling your God given destiny. "Nature is the inspiration for ALL ornamentation."~Frank Lloyd Wright
